Eclectic Edge Ensemble

This June 17-20th, Artistic Director Karis Sloss and several members of the EEE company will be traveling down to Dallas, Texas to participate in a symposium on teaching jazz dance at Southern Methodist University. The symposium is being hosted by Danny Buraczeski, former Artistic Director of famed Twin Cities company JAZZDANCE, now a faculty member at SMU. Buraczeski has gathered jazz dance performers, choreographers and teachers from across the country to give them a chance to network and exchange ideas.

With a budding educational program, EEE stands to benefit greatly from this conference, and will be working to actively fuse ideas gathered into the programs we create. We are offering both a Professional Track and Dance Educator Track, featuring jazz dance technique, style, history, African, Jazz for Musical Theater, Live Jazz for Dance Class, Yoga for Dancers, Dance Educators Forum and Hip Hop. Faculty include Zoe Sealy, Karis Sloss, Erinn Liebhard, Whitney McClusky, Kerry Casserly, Bruce Wintervold, Allison Doughty-Marqueson, Amy Sackett, Diane Aldis and Karla Grotting.
